VOLUNTEERS MAKE IT HAPPEN!  You can make a difference with  Genoa Main Street, Inc.  Your involvement in one of the four areas of MEMBERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT, DESIGN, PROMOTION OR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, IS VITAL TO THE SUCCESS OF OUR PROGRAM. 

By volunteering you will have:

• An opportunity to meet and work with many different people from the community
  
• An active part in bringing about changes in our downtown while preserving its small town feel
• Learn more about our city’s heritage and architectural history of its buildings.

Volunteers do many different things.  There is a job to fit every skill and schedule.  Some typical jobs include manning the Main Street booth at Genoa Day   and helping with the Open Air Markets and Movies on Main Street. 

In the office you will see them working on mailings, putting together our publication ON THE CORNER, maintaining the web site, and counting the votes for the Main Street Scholarship.

Currently volunteers are needed to:

• Conduct an internal year-end audit of our books for CY 2012 in early 2013
• Join our Economic Restructuring committee to work on recruiting new businesses for downtown
• Help with Summer Farm Fest Moon publicity, decorations, projects with the schools
• Join our Design committee to work on facade improvements and streetscape plans

Become a Sponsor

Becoming a Main Street sponsor is a great idea for your business or organization.  Sponsorship puts your name in front of a large audience, is good public relations and helps finance positive activities and improvements for downtown—all of which can result in new customers for your business or supporters of your organization.

There are many different ways to be a sponsor.  Sponsor any event on our calendar, sponsor one or more issues of On the Corner, sponsor our web page, or sponsor a publication such as our downtown directory. 

Sponsorships can be based on financial contributions or in kind contributions.  Sponsors will have their names prominently displayed and are welcome to have their promotional material available at events.
